Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was born as Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor Jr on the 16th of April, 1947 in Harlem, New York. He is a retired American basketball player who played for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA for two decades. He was a top player, winning the NBA Most Valuable Player Award six times.
He had his elementary education at Power Memorial Academy and was an outstanding high school player at Stuyvesant High School where he succeeded in both academics and athletics. At UCLA, he led his team to three consecutive NCAA championships from 1967 to 1969.
