Kelsey Plum is a known figure in the world of women’s basketball however, her siblings have also created a career in their respective sports. From volleyball to football, the Plum siblings have proven that their family’s athletic prowess runs deep.
Kaitlyn Plum, the eldest of the Plum siblings, followed in her mother’s footsteps and pursued a career in volleyball. She excelled at the high school level as she earned many accolades and led her team to success. Kaitlyn then went on to play college volleyball at UC Davis, where she displayed exceptional defensive skills and leadership qualities on the volleyball court.
Next in line is Lauren Plum, who voted for collegiate volleyball at the University of Oregon where she quickly established herself as one of the nation’s top setters. Lauren’s stats and awards, including AVCA and Volleyball Magazine All-America First Team honours made her an outstanding player in the volleyball sport.
The youngest Plum sibling, Daniel Plum chose a different path, taking up football like his father. During his high school career at Cathedral Catholic High School, Daniel made a name for himself as a talented tight end, earning a spot on the All-Eastern League first-team. He then continued his football journey at the collegiate level, playing for the University of San Diego.

Her mother, Katie Plum is of Irish and German descent while her father, Jim Plum, has Norwegian and English ancestry. This has given Kelsey a diverse ethnic background consisting of both European and American roots.

Kelsey Plum attended La Jolla Country Day School in San Diego for her high school education. She then attended the University of Washington, where she had a record-breaking college basketball career, as she was the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history. Plum graduated with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Washington.
