Meet Paul Pogba Parents: Yeo Pogba and Fassou Antoine Pogba
Paul Pogba’s parents are Yeo and Fassou Antoine Pogba.Yeo is of Guinean and Congolese lineage while Fassou is Guinean.
Yeo, Paul’s mother worked as a housekeeper and child minder in addition to being a housewife while Fassou worked as a municipal worker and did odd jobs to support the family initially. He had big football dreams in his youth but couldn’t make it professionally. He coached the local youth teams that his sons played for early on.
The couple divorced when Paul was around 8 years old. The reason for their divorce is unknown but reports point to the struggles of raising four young sons while dealing with financial difficulties as immigrants in France’s suburbs.
In an interview, Paul’s mother, Yeo Moriba alluded to the challenges she faced raising the four brothers largely as a single mother after the divorce, saying: “It wasn’t easy, but I couldn’t give up for the sake of my children. I had to stay strong.”
While the divorce was difficult for the family, both Yeo and Fassou remained involved in their sons’ lives and upbringing, especially when it came to supporting their passion for football from a young age.

Yeo has been Paul’s biggest supporter, attending almost all his big games and has accompanied him in his Umrah to Mecca. His father, Fassou died at the age of 79 on the 12th of May, 2017 after a long struggle with his health.
Where Was Paul Pogba Born?
The legendary footballer was born on the 15th of March, 1993 in Lagny-sur-Marne, a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. His birthplace is about 15 miles east of the city centre of Paris, in the Seine-et-Marne department of the Île-de-France region and it has a population of 20,000 people.
Paul Pogba’s Football Achievements
The well-known footballer has achieved many successes in his football career.
In the 2018 FIFA World Cup, he played a role in France’s triumph. He also helped Juventus secure the Serie A title four times. Also, during his time at Manchester United, Pogba lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy under manager Jose Mourinho. He was also part of the team that represented France at the UEFA Nations League Champion, winning the inaugural UEFA Nations League.
Pogba secured the Coppa Italia trophy twice with Juventus and also won the EFL Cup with Manchester in 2017. For his performances at the 2014 World Cup, Pogba won the Best Young Player and was also the Player of the Tournament at the 2013 U-20 World Cup.
