Zac Efron, born on the 18th of October, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California, is an iconic American actor, singer and producer. His father, David Efron, has a Jewish background and his mother, Starla Baskett, has English, German and Scottish roots.

Zac Efron’s Parents 

Efron’s parents are Starla Baskett and David Efron who was a power plant engineer. His parents  met each other while working together and began a relationship. Zac’s father is a California Maritime Academy alumni. 

Starla is not much of a celebrity. She came to the limelight via his son’s consistent mentions of her in interviews. She is said to have helped the foundation of Zac’s acting career, when she forced him to go for his first film audition at Disney.

Starla had her high school education at Avalon High School and graduated in the year 1967. She is the daughter of Robert Baskett and June Glideen Baskett.
