Efron’s parents are Starla Baskett and David Efron who was a power plant engineer. His parents  met each other while working together and began a relationship. Zac’s father is a California Maritime Academy alumni. As of 5th January, 2024, the couple are no more together as they parted ways in 2016 over irreconcilable differences after being together for thirty years. He was also raised as agnostic hence he considers himself as someone without a religion though his paternal grandfather was said to Jewish. 

Zac Efron’s Career 

Zac became a favourite on-screen personality when he featured as “Troy Bolton” in “High School Musical” which aired from 2006 to 2008. He has since starred in groundbreaking films such as “Hairspray (2007)”, “17 Again(2009)”, “The Paperboy(2012)”, “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile(2019)”. He also hosted an adventure show on Netflix known as “Down to Earth with Zac Efron(2020-2022)” which won him a Daytime Emmy Award in 2021.
