Eeli Nygård and Hilkka Nygård were the parents of fashion mogul, Peter Nygård who has been accused of long-term s#x trafficking, r#pe and racketeering after the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) invaded his offices in New York City. He was initially charged and arrested on s#x trafficking and racketeering charges, including allegations of s#x trafficking involving minors.
While Eeli was born in Helsinki, Finland on the 23rd December, 1913, Hilkka was also born on the 28th of August, 1922 in Lamposaari, Lappeenranta, Finland. The couple tied the knot on the 24th of June, 1940 and had two children, Peter and Pirjo-Liisa
Eeli was the son of a textile worker. He was a baker. In 1952, he moved with his family to Deloraine, Manitoba in Canada to seek greener pastures. He died at the age of 83 on the 17th of July, 1997 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
His wife, Hilkka on the other hand was the daughter of a teacher. She was a stay at home mother. She died at the age of 87 on January 12, 2010 in Canada.
Their son, Peter began his career in the fashion industry in the early 1970s where he established Nygård International, a fashion company that became one of the largest fashion companies in Canada but due to his legal troubles, his company went into bankruptcy in 2020, thereby folding up.

He has had ten children with eight women. They are, Bianca Nygård, Kai Zen Bickle, Jessar Nygård, Scarlet Nygård, Mika Nygård, Åliå Nygård, Xar Nygård, Trey Nygård and Angelika Szczepaniak. The other child seems to be private hence his identity isn’t known for now.
The fashion icon is estimated to be worth an approximate sum of $900 million. He accumulated his fortune through his fashion company, Nygård International. Nygård was a renowned philanthropist and had donated millions of dollars to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Amateur Boxing Federation’s Bahamas team.
His net worth has declined in recent years due to his legal troubles. In 2020, his company filed for bankruptcy.
