Courtney Love’s ex-husbands: How many times has Courtney Love been married?
Courtney Love is a renowned American songwriter, singer, visual artist and actress. She is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the American alternative rock band, Hole, which was established in Los Angeles, California by Courtney and Eric Erlandson. Some of Hole’s most popular songs include, “Violet, Doll Parts, Celebrity Skin, Miss World, Pretty on the Inside, Gold Dust Woman, Northern Star”, et cetera.
Love has been featured in many films and television shows, including “Sid and Nancy(1986), The People vs Larry Flynt(1996), and Sons of Anarchy(2013-2014)”.
Courtney has had two ex-husbands, James Moreland who was the vocalist of the band, “Leaving Trains”. They got married in Las Vegas on the 23rd of July, 1989 and had their marriage annulled the same year. It was later found out that the marriage between her and James was a farce, a joke.
According to Courtney, the relationship was never supposed to last as they were both busy with their jobs and personal lives. They were not having good communication among themselves hence they had arguments between themselves.
It must be noted that Courtney was once pregnant with James’ child but due to her heavy use of drugs, the pregnancy was aborted. Hole’s first single, “Retard Girl” was produced by James Moreland before they divorced after a three month marriage. James was a writer and had published for publications including LA Weekly.
She later got married to the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band, Nirvana in 1992 and was with him until his death in 1994. She had a child, Frances Bean Cobain with Kurt. She met Kurt on the 12th of January, 1990 in a Portland-based nightclub.
Kurt Cobain was born on the 20th of February, 1967. He was known as the spokesman of Generation X. He established Nirvana with Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. He struggled with depression and drug addiction the most of his years.
He was found dead at his home in Seattle, Washington from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the 5th of April, 1994. His notable songs include, “Smells Like Teen Spirit, Lithium, Come As You Are, Something In The Way, Heart-Shaped Box, All Apologies, About A Girl,” and many others.
Aside from Courtney Love’s ex-husbands, Love has also had a long-term relationship with Hole guitarist and co-founder, Eric Erlandson as well as being entangled with other musicians like Billy Corgan and Julian Lennon.
