Adam Bartley was born in Minnesota. He was born to Michael Bartley and Evelyn Bartley. Adam was raised with three other siblings. His siblings are two brothers Jerry and Cody Bartley and a sister, Anita Bartley.
Bartley is a 1997 graduate of Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie and went on to graduate from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Degree in acting in 2001. While in college, he worked at Reunion Arena during Dallas Mavericks basketball games.
After college, he was moving from city to city in search of greener pastures. He lived in New York City, Chicago, Aspen, and Alaska, and acted in local theater productions while working as an acting teacher and coach. After moving to Los Angeles, he was selected for his first television pilot audition in Longmire, and he won the role.
In 2012, Adam was a guest star as Junior in the episode “The Devil You Know” of the western crime series “Justified”, and the following year he portrayed Robbie Reuben in a single episode of the period drama “Vegas”. In 2018, Adam appeared in the neo-noir black comedy thriller movie “Under the Silver Lake”, as well as in the American-French movie “Donnybrook”. Two of his latest roles in movies have been in 2018 in the biographical comedy movie “Vice” in which he portrayed Frank Luntz, and the animated film “Burning Dog”, in which he voiced Five.
In 2022 Bartley had a recurring role on the Amazon Studios & Legendary Television sci-fi drama Night Sky. He has also appeared in several movies, including Kajillionaire, Vice, Donnybrook, Under the Silver Lake, Annabelle: Creation, and 2013’s Armed Response.
Adam likes to watch NBA basketball in his spare time, and is a huge fan of the Dallas Mavericks. He is a lover of animals and had two pet dogs one of which died in 2019. He now takes his dog out for a walk in the park at least twice a day.
He is an avid table tennis player, and calls himself ‘the ping pong master’.
