Ali Fazal Parents: Who Are The Bollywood Actor’s Parents

Ali Fazal was born into a family that deeply valued education and creativity. His father, Mohammed Rafique Fazal worked in a Middle Eastern firm which is government based and his mother, Uzma, a professor played an equally important role in nurturing his interests. Growing up, Ali was surrounded by a culture of learning and encouragement, which helped him explore his passion for acting.

From an early age, Ali Fazal parents recognised his talents and supported him wholeheartedly. His parents ended up splitting up when he was finishing sixth form, and unfortunately his father wasn’t around much after that – just someone he would visit occasionally over the phone. While he acknowledges it was a rather transactional arrangement, he is still grateful his father made the effort to provide for him.

His mother, on the other hand, was a major influence and figure in his life. Ali says he unconsciously absorbed so much from her and only recently discovered that she had been an actress herself during her time at Aligarh University, even performing in a Bernard Shaw play. He describes her parenting style as rather unconventional or “crooked.”

Ali also had a very close bond with his grandparents, recalling fond memories of being by their side in the hospital and listening to stories about his grandfather’s first love.

Academically, Ali Fazal parents made him attend many prestigious schools, including La Martiniere College in Lucknow, The Doon School in Dehradun and ultimately St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai where he studied economics. It was actually during his time at The Doon School that he discovered his passion for acting, particularly excelling in the role of “Trinculo the jester” in Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.”

Ali’s upbringing seems to have been a mix of family challenges, strong maternal influence and an early calling towards the performing arts – all of which have clearly made him into the acclaimed actor he is today.
