Doc Brown is a popular English actor, comedian, rapper, screenwriter and voiceover artist.

Doc Brown Biography

He was born as Benjamin Harvey Bailey Smith and got his name from the scientist character in the “Back to the Future franchise”. In the film, he was the inventor of the world’s first and second time machines. He was called “Doc Brown” by his schoolmates because he was geeky. And the name got stuck when he began doing rap battles in the brink of his teens in the early 2000.

He began standup comedy in 2005 and in 2006, won the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year. He has since then, performed at many comedy festivals including, Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has appeared on television shows like, “The Inbetweeners, Rev and Miranda”.

Benjamin is a learned comedian who has undergraduate degrees in anthropology and psychology from the College of William and Mary. He also has a masters degree from the Virginia Consortium for Professional Psychology, which is organised by the College of William and Mary, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University and Eastern Virginia Medical School.

As an actor, he has featured in film and television series, like “Law & Order: UK”, “Derek”, “Huge”, “Andor”, “4 O’Clock Club” and many others. His screenplays include, “The Billion Dollar Race”, “The Knot” and “The Boy with the Topknot”. 

As a singer, his singles and albums are “The Document”, “Stemma” and “Citizen Smith Volume 1”.

Benjamin appeared in the second series of Greg Davies and Alex Horne’s  Taskmaster in 2016. He finished fourth with 78 points. He has also been the producer of The Football Ramble Live.
