He graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in 2000. He branched to television when he played the role of “Orlando Figes” in the Judge John Deed episode “Everyone’s Child”. He also performed in Love’s Labour’s Lost(2007) and Dr. Strange(2016) with Benedict Cumberbatch.

In 2020, he was recognized with the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for his contribution to drama in the U.K. He is also the Advisory Group member of the Guildford School of Acting. In 2009, he won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2019 for his role in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. He has also been nominated for the Black British Theatre Award and the WhatsOnStage Award.
