Born Jackman Thomas Harlow, in Louisville, Kentucky in the United States of America, the rapper started rapping at age 12. He used to record rhymes and songs using a microphone and a laptop. His friend Copeland Garvey was always beside him. He attended High land middle chool, where he sold some copies of CD’s he made with his friend titled Ripping and Ripping. He formed a band, Muse Gang with various friends from his school after acquiring a professional microphone from the money he had from selling the CD’s.
Jack attended Atherton High school, where he played soccer. In 2015, Harlow released his first commercial record, Handsome Harlow. Whiles still in high school, he played sold-out shows in Louisville venues.

Jack Harlow had his major breakthrough in 2020 when he released his single Whats Popping. The song became very popular through the help of Tik Tok and it gave him a lot of recognition on the international market. The remix of the song had rappers like Lil Wayne, Da Baby and Tory Lanez featuring in it. It made it to the Billboards Top 100 and went on to earn him a Grammy Nomination.
