Born as Antony David Kidman on the 10th of December, 1938 at Randwick in Australia, Nicole’s father was the oldest of four children. He was an alumnus of St Aloysius’ College, University of Sydney(Bachelor’s Degree), University of New South Wales (Masters) and held a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Hawaii where Nicole was born.
He worked as a Clinical Psychiatrist at Elizabeth Psychiatric Hospital, a director of the Health Psychology Unit at the University of Technology Sydney and a biochemist lecturer at Monash University. He owned an NGO known as the Foundation for Life Sciences which was renamed the Antony Kidman Foundation after his death in 2014.
He was a writer of over 159 journal articles and nine books including “Staying Sane in the Fast Lane: A Guide to Emotional Health” and “How to Change Your Life: Tactics for Moving from Thought to Action.”
