The Bronx native first gained attention on Instagram and the now-defunct video app, Vine, before joining the cast of VH1’s reality TV series Love & Hip-Hop: New York in 2015. She released her debut single “Bodak Yellow” in 2017, which earned her two Grammy nominaions. In 2019, she won her first-ever Grammy for best rap album for Invasion of Privacy.

Carlos Alman is the father of Cardi B and Hennessy Carolina. He was a Dominican taxi driver who became famous due to the celebrity status of his daughter’s. He was married to Clara Almanzar. However, even though many media outlets are curious about him, the retired taxi driver stays out of the limelight. Carlos migrated to America in 1990. After divorcing Clara, Carlos went on to remarry and gave birth to six more children.
